Video by Travel for every budget
What I learned:
Google flights is an excellent tool for estimating "real travel costs". You are able to put in travel dates for high and low seasons and have some perspective of what is a deal and what is regular and what is over-priced.
The video shows google flights can be used to separate a long international flight into separate flights using known major transportation hubs. Sometimes this results in the two or more smaller flights that can be significantly lower priced than one large flight.
Google flights can be used to create price/date grids for comparison purposes.
